In Antioch, California, a new chapter in health equity has begun. A community-led Black wellness hub has opened at Delta Bay Community Church, designed to provide culturally-responsive care and holistic health resources.

The launch is the result of grassroots organizing and a commitment to closing the gaps in health access for Black residents. The center will offer mental health services, fitness programs, nutrition guidance, and educational workshops—all tailored to the needs of the community.

Health disparities remain a pressing issue in the Black community, often due to systemic inequities. Spaces like this wellness hub not only address physical and mental health but also promote empowerment through culturally-grounded care.
