Jordan Wallace has made history as the first Black racer to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America. Wallace, who hails from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, began his racing career in karting and made a significant impact in sportscar racing, including two wins at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Porsche Sprint Challenge.
He joins the Kelly Moss team for the 2024 season, a team known for its commitment to expanding diversity and creating opportunities within motorsports. This achievement is seen as a significant step towards increasing minority participation in high-level racing series.
Wallace competed at the Miami International Auto-drome, part of the Formula One Miami Grand Prix events, where he nearly secured the fastest qualifying time. He aims to achieve further milestones, including wins at prestigious endurance races like the Daytona 24 Hours and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
